An early morning fire in Milton has left a family of 5 homeless. No one was injured in the blaze and 3 of the 4 family pets were rescued. No word on the cause but Fire Chief Don Turner says it likely began on the front porch of the home. According to the chief "The owner woke up to a cracking noise. She didn’t say if the detectors were going off we didn’t hear them but the fire was really in the house there wasn’t a lot of smoke in there at the time." Crews from Colchester Georgia and Milton rescue responded to the fire.
