A house and a collection of motorcycles were destroyed in an early morning fire off Route 7 Saturday. Pittsford Fire Chief Tom Hooker said the call from the home of Lloyd Provin and his live-in partner came shortly after midnight and that the initial report was that someone was trapped inside the burning house. “That’s our worst nightmare,” Hooker said Saturday afternoon. “When we got there, the lady was outside screaming. … There was nobody in the house — they’d gotten out. All that was in the house was two cats. We rescued one cat in about 10 minutes. The other turned up this morning.” Hooker said the blaze started as a chimney fire that worked its way into the garage and then the house. “She woke up — apparently the smoke woke her up,” he said.
