A home under construction went up in flames Thursday morning during a two-alarm fire in SeaTac, damaging another home next door, officials said. Crews responded to the scene, in the 5200 block of 170th Lane South, at about 3 a.m. after receiving a 911 call. When they arrived, smoke and flames were spewing from the home, and firefighters went to work, dousing the blaze. Another home to the right, also under construction, was damaged as well. The home on the other side had people living in it. They were evacuated during the fire but are now being allowed back in. There was no apparent damage to that home, and no one was injured. The house where the fire started appears to be a total loss, said a Kent Fire Department spokesperson. There was no immediate dollar estimate of the damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
