“A crash of thunder and a lightning bolt hit and it shook everything up around here,” said Mike Feil, neighbor. Caught on camera, a house goes up in flames after it’s hit by lightning. It happened during yesterday (Sunday) morning’s round of thunder and lightning. Neighbors say all of sudden, they bear a ‘boom’ then saw flames. As Suzette Reynoso shows us, many of them, caught the dramatic scene on camera. This was the scene just after nine o’clock Sunday morning. A fire erupted at a home on Pierce Street and Third in Asotin. You can hear the sirens of the fire engines coming. As residents armed themselves with garden hoses to try and douse the flames. Mike Feil lives three houses down. "Was having coffee and reading the papers in the morning when that crash and thunder and lightning bolt hit and it shook everything up around here,” said Feil. After he heard the big boom, he ran outside and saw smoke coming from his neighbors home. That’s when he knew he had to do something. "Picked up hoses and tried to protect the perimeter around the fire and then the fire department got here,” said Feil. He wasn’t the only one.
