A man is in critical condition but two others escaped unharmed after fire destroyed a mobile home early Tuesday in Spanaway, officials said.
Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, in the 22600 block of 53rd Avenue Court East in Spanaway, at about 4:30 a.m. after receiving reports of flames and smoke coming from the home.
A couple and their son had lived at the residence. The woman and son escaped unharmed, but the man was found at the scene with severe injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The home is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
