Fire broke out at a Quality Inn hotel in Kent early Tuesday, but no one was injured. Firefighters responded to the hotel, in the 1700 block of West Meeker Street, at about 5:15 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke billowing from the building. Flames and smoke were found coming from an exterior wall. Crews contained the blaze there and extinguished it. A fire investigator determined that the blaze was accidental due to ongoing roof repairs to the hotel.
