Nate Heitman, a local high school student, got to be "Chief for a Day" with the Marysville Fire District on Nov. 9.
The "Chief for a Day" program is something the fire district provides to local kids as a way to help raise funds at charity auctions, according to Marysville Fire Chief Martin McFalls.
The Marysville Sunrise Rotary sold this November's program at one of their auctions to raise funds for their community service.
One child gets to be part of the Marysville Fire District for the day as part of the program.
"At the start of the day we bring them into my office and tell them 'you're going to be the chief today,'" he said.
