The blaze broke out at the Seattle Public Utilities' South Transfer Station, located in the 8100 block of Second Avenue South, at about 12:30 a.m. The fire is sending out plumes of smoke. Seattle Fire has a mobile ventilation unit on scene working clear the scene before the fire spreads.
