Four people alerted by smoke alarms escaped a fire Monday morning that gutted a home in the Lake Hills neighborhood. None of the residents of the home in the 1300 block of 144th Avenue Southeast was injured in the fire. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the house. They extinguished the blaze but not before it badly damaged the home.
