PHOTO - One person was killed in a 9:22 a.m. wreck involving three vehicles on U.S. Highway 101 near Laird Road, west of Port Angeles. Clallam Fire District No. 2 Assistant Chief Dan Huff reported that the driver of a Ford Bronco died at Olympic Medical Center as a result of injuries from the wreck. He was not able to release the name of the victim. Huff reported a total of seven persons in three vehicles were injured in the wreck. All the others sustained only minor injuries, were treated at the scene and released. Huff said a preliminary investigation showed that the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe was slowing down and making a left turn onto Highway 101. The Tahoe was hit from behind by a Ford Bronco, which veered to the left and went into the traffic lanes on 101.
