A man was injured when a car collided with a Sounder commuter train Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened around 4 p.m. as the Southline Sounder Train No. 1513 passed the Holgate Street crossing near 3rd Avenue in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood, officials said. The man driving the car was trapped inside the wreckage and firefighters had to tear the roof off the car to free him. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition with leg injuries, Seattle Fire officials said. Police haven't said exactly what led up to the crash.
