Two people died in a house fire on Wetmore Avenue in Everett on Saturday morning. Everett city officials say when they arrived at the home at about 6 a.m. it was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in about 30 minutes but they found two people, an elderly woman and her daughter, deceased inside the home. Fire officials say that there were no smoke detectors inside the residence. Officials believe the fire was burning for approximately an hour before it was called in. The fire remains under investigation but is not believed to be suspicious in nature.
