One person was injured in a two-alarm apartment fire in Everett Tuesday morning. It started around 5 a.m. at the Highlander Apartments across from Wiggums Hollow Park. Everett firefighters said they arrived to find flames shooting from a second-floor window. The entire complex was evacuated as a precaution. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Firefighters had trouble talking to the tenant, who could not speak English, so translators were brought in. The Red Cross is helping seven people who were forced out of their units. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
