Dispatchers continued fielding 911 calls while firefighters extinguished small flames that had sparked on the roof of the emergency dispatch center in Everett on Monday. A construction crew was working on the roof of the SNOPAC office along Everett Mall Way. The fire started around 11:20 a.m., Everett Fire Chief Eric Hicks said. Smoke carried through the vents and into the working space. Hicks said that any damage to the roof would be small.
