Crews were on the scene of a train derailment near Wallula in Walla Walla County Thursday morning. According to Walla Walla County Fire District 5, firefighters were called to the Watco train yard at about 1:00 a.m. A fire captain tells Action News five train cars derailed, but they were all empty. Fire crews remained on the scene for about an hour then turned the investigation over to the rail company. Today workers were on the scene removing the damaged train cars from the tracks.
