A Kennewick family still has a home thanks to the teamwork of local fire crews.
Firefighters from Kennewick, Pasco, and Benton County responded to a fire in some arborvitae bushes on the corner of Quincy Place and Canal Drive, Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was only 30-feet from the home but crews were able to knock it down fairly quickly.
Vegetation has grown higher than normal after a wet spring, and Kennewick Chief Mikal Barnett is warning people to be on the lookout.
