Authorities say one person has died and another was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg that happened after several vehicles and a semi-truck entered an area filled with wildfire smoke.
Seattlepi.com reports a brush fire started in the freeway median late Thursday morning.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Brian Moore says the crash, caused by low visibility due to smoke over the highway, involved the semi, a truck pulling a travel trailer, another truck and a car.
