Firefighters and police responded to a fire in the Flamingo Trailer Park in Pasco early Friday morning. According to the Pasco Fire Department, the incident took place at 8:13 A.M. on the 100 block of Frontier. Franklin County Fire District #3 and the Richland Fire Department also responded. Firefighters say the fire caused major damage to the home. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but firefighters are investigating the area around a wood stove. Pasco Fire Department Public Information Officer Ben Shearer says residents need to be careful this time of year since heaters and holiday lights often cause fires. He also adds that residents should always have working fire alarms.
