A Longview residence is uninhabitable, after a fire that started in the kitchen spread quickly, officials say.
Longview Fire responded to a report of a fire at 467 20th Ave. Tuesday evening.
They say initial reports indicated the fire started on the stove top and was spreading.
Fire crews arrived to find the homeowner outside the residence and the front door left open. Smoke was pouring out of the front door, with a visible glow inside.
As fire crews were preparing, the interior of the structure "flashed over," and the side window of the home broke open with a fireball venting toward the neighboring home.
