An early morning house fire in Kent has left 10 people without a home. Firefighters responded to the scene, in the 24900 block of 36th Place South in Kent, just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of smoke and flames coming from the home. Ten residents evacuated the burning home. None of them were injured. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, but the interior of the home was gutted by the flames. An investigator at the scene said the fire apparently was caused by an electrical short in the attic.
