Deputies with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office have arrested a 60-year-old man connected to a fire investigation at a local motel. Flames ripped through the Blue Water Inn, just blocks away from the Kingston ferry terminal, overnight, sending guests scrambling out into the rain for safety. The motel is in the 11040 block of NE State Highway 104. Firefighters responded at about 3:45 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and flames spewing from the top floor of the building. Guests were quickly evacuated, and it's believed that everyone got out safely, Michele Laboda, North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman, said. She said the 22-unit motel was full when the fire started.
