Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire on board a sailboard near Bainbridge Island Monday afternoon. The fire broke out in the boat's cabin just after 3:40 p.m. as the boat was sailing off Rockaway Beach, just south of Eagle Harbor. The Coast Guard and firefighters from Bainbridge Island and a Seattle Fire Boat were called in to help. Crews said one person was on board and was safely removed from the sailboat. No word yet on how the fire started of there were any injuries. Once the fire was out, the Coast Guard then towed the 40-foot boat to Eagle Harbor.
