Washington state fire chiefs are warning the public to pull over when there's an approaching emergency vehicle with flashing lights and sirens. Fire officials said always pull over to the right and come to a complete stop. They said never pull into a center lane or try to outrun an emergency vehicle. Blocking the road, failing to yield, or speeding ahead can result in a fine and possible license suspension for 60 days. "There is a state RCW that explains that, and it is a penalty that can be fined if you are found guilty of not yielding to the emergency vehicle," said Captain Jeff Pfaff of the Yakima Fire Department.
