Firefighters battling a house fire in the Woodridge neighborhood Tuesday morning uncovered an illegal marijuana growing operation. Around 6:47 a.m. on Feb. 21, the Bellevue Fire Department was alerted to a house fire in the 1300 block of 121st Ave SE. A dozen fire trucks and other apparatus’ sped to the scene and were able to put the fire out in 14 minutes, according to the department. While fighting the fire, crews uncovered an illegal marijuana growing operation on the bottom floor of the house. No one was injured in the fire. The police and fire departments are investigating the fire and uncovered marijuana plants.
