“Thank God I'm alive,” Eli Lu said.
Lu said it's still surreal walking out of her South Seattle home and seeing this next door, the neighbor's house gutted by fire.
Authorities say her neighbor, Sothy Kem, started the fire in the bottom floor, which he was renting.
Her dad's car, which was parked on the side of her house, was also burned.
“I was scared if it was going to catch on fire and explode so that was definitely scary,” Lu added.
Lu was home alone when the fire broke out Sunday afternoon.
By the time KIRO 7 got on scene yesterday, the fire was out.
Lu says flames were shooting high in the air.
“I looked outside and it was huge, coming up from the minute up to rooftop,” Lu recalled.
