The Pullman Fire Department welcomes their newest deputy fire chief. Ray Lamoureux takes over a deputy chief of training for the department. He fills the spot that Gabriel Benmoussa held previously.
Before coming to Moscow Lamoureuz was a lieutenant with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue. He says he is excited for a new challenge in his position as chief officer.
“With everything that comes along with that position, being responsible for budgetary type items, basically the buck stops here when it comes to the training departments,” said Lamoureux.
Lamoureux will be responsible for training for both fire and EMS, as well as tracking appropriate programs within the department.
