Two bodies were found Friday in a home in Tacoma’s Lincoln District after an early morning fire.
The blaze was reported at 2:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of South Yakima Avenue, near Lincoln High School.
Firefighters arrived to find the house in flames, said Tacoma Fire spokesman Joe Meinecke.
During a search after the blaze, firefighters found the bodies. They initially believed there was just one body, but the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office later determined there were two.
Both appeared to be adults, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said. Their names were not released Friday.
It appears that the house was undergoing a renovation.
