Tuesday night community leaders and local fire chiefs met to discuss options. One option is to keep the Clarkston Fire staff at 12 full-time firefighters, but funding is a problem.
Lewiston Fire Chief, Travis Myklebust presented a proposal to have his department create a valley-wide fire and EMS service. "Of what Chief Cooper has on this list of all of those things that are begin asked of, there is nothing on that, that I see that would stop due to a contracted service with the city of Lewiston,” said Myklebust.
