Firefighters have yet to determine the cause of a Sunday afternoon fire that destroyed a house on the 900 block of South East Street in Colfax.
What is known is that the structure was a 100 percent loss and its nine residents have lost their homes.
John Huntwork, 25, and Bethany Huntwork, 23, a married couple who had lived in an apartment at the back of the house for two-and-a-half years, said the fire took everything they owned, including their wedding rings. Bethany Huntwork lamented the loss of her plants.
