Four RVs at a vehicle storage lot in east Vancouver were destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called to 606 N.E. 192nd Ave. just before 11:30 a.m. for the reported fire, Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Pete Adams said. Several explosions were reported prior to firefighters’ arrival and crews could see plumes of black smoke from the highway, Adams said. They arrived to find four RVs fully involved in flames and began dousing the fire with water, he said. There was no fire hydrant on the property, Adams said, so water tenders were used to shuttle water to the scene. A big concern, Adams said, was keeping the flames from spreading to a nearby field.
