Firefighters have put out four separate brush fires in the same area. Firefighters with the Selah Fire Department and the Yakima Training Center extinguished the flames roughly 30 minutes after the fire started Thursday morning at the Selah Creek rest area off of I-82 westbound. Flames reached about two feet high near milepost 22 before crews quickly extinguished the fires. Officials with the Selah Fire Department said they have not yet confirmed a cause for these fires and continue to investigate.
