A woman was able to escape a mobile home that caught on fire early Thursday morning in a remote area near Deer Park. About 25 firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 4 and other agencies were called to the home at 26028 N. Spotted Road at about 6 a.m., where they found it fully engulfed in flames, said Megan Hill, spokeswoman for Fire District 4. The home’s only resident was able to escape the fire uninjured. “The fire is controlled and we’re just checking hot spots now,” Hill said at 8 a.m. Two tanker trucks were called in transport water from a hydrant a few miles away, which was the closest source of available water, Hill said. There were no injuries reported.
