Fire crews continue to fight the Glade 3 fire burning near Mabton Monday morning. Glade Road within the fire perimeter is closed after fire officials said the fire rapidly spread to nearly 10,000 acres about two miles southwest of Mabton. One outbuilding burned down Sunday, according to reports. Firefighters said the type of building is unknown. 191 firefighters are working to contain the fire and keep the flames from spreading. Reports indicated the fire is 20 percent contained. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters say high temperatures and high fuel caused flames to spread quickly.
