A woman was killed in a fire that broke out in a West Seattle home early Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called to the home in the 9800 block of 44th Ave. SW just after 4:30 a.m. to find the home fully engulfed in flames. A man who lived in the home told KOMO News he and his roommate were working outside in a shed while their two mothers slept upstairs. One of the men's mother then came out of the home screaming that it was on fire. The other woman, who was 51 and disabled, was still trapped in a downstairs bathroom in the back of the house.
