Crews made a tragic discovery after responding to a small condo fire in Seattle's Wedgwood neighborhood overnight, officials said.
An elderly woman was found dead inside the unit, but it wasn't immediately clear if her death was related to the fire.
Firefighters responded to the scene, a condominium in the 2300 block of NE 89th Street, at about 2:25 a.m. after receiving a fire alarm.
When they arrived, they found a small fire inside and were able to extinguish the flames before they spread.
