An ambulance rushed an elderly woman with extensive 2nd degree burns to the hospital after firefighters found her on the floor of a burning home Monday evening. According to the Richland Fire Department, fire crews were called out at 6:34 P.M to 200 Adams St. for reports of smoke. RFD says neighbors had seen smoke coming from the home and knocked on the doors and windows to see if anyone was inside, but no one answered. When firefighters went in, they found the woman next to the front door and a fire in the kitchen. The woman was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
