Five residents are without a home after a house became engulfed in a fire in East Yakima. Yakima Fire Department (YFD) responded to a brush fire Wednesday around 8:07 a.m. at 1623 S. 16th Street. Two additional crews responded along with two initial fire crews after callers later reported the fire had spread to the nearby house. Firefighters reported flames in the yard spreading to the inside of the house and reaching the attic upon arrival.
