A man was burned and his dog died in a fire that broke out in their RV early Friday morning. Firefighters were called to the motor home which was parked outside a home at S. 360th Street and 42nd Ave. S. near Auburn just after midnight. As firefighters fought the flames, medics were called when the man inside was found to have first and second degree burns to his hand while trying to save his dog. The fire was put out a short time later, and firefighters later found the dog's body inside. Investigators believe the fire began from a heater being placed too close to bedding.
