Firefighters prevented a shed fire from damaging nearby mobile homes Wednesday in Woodland.
Crews responded at 12:11 p.m. to a fire in an outbuilding at 6215 N.W. 389th St., at the Woodland Mobile Home and RV Park. When they arrived, they found a fully engulfed shed between two manufactured homes.
“The fire was impinging on both manufactured homes at once,” said Tim Dawdy, Clark County Fire and Rescue spokesman.
Dawdy described an aggressive attack by Clark County Fire and Rescue and Cowlitz County Fire District crews, which including running hose lines between both homes and the shed to prevent the blaze from jumping to either home. The shed, however, was a total loss.
It’s unclear what caused the fire. The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate, Dawdy said.
