Snohomish County Fire District 7 reports a man was killed while trying to move a single-wide mobile home from his property in the 26700 block of Old Pipeline Road in Monroe on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
The victim was reportedly attempting to remove the mobile home when it collapsed on top of him, according to Fire District 7, which was dispatched to the scene around noon last Wednesday. The man was deceased by the time crews arrived.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet identified the victim, but the Monitor has been informed by a friend that it was Murray Gudmundson, a Sultan High School graduate and owner of Murray Gudmundson Construction. His mother is the owner of the Flat Iron Gallery in Sultan.
The Monitor was told the trailer was being removed to make way for construction of a new home.
