Reports of gunfire kept firefighters from fully attacking a house fire in Lynnwood Wednesday. The call came in around 7:30 a.m. in the 14300 block of 16th Place West. Authorities at the scene said they had received reports that there were gunshots heard at the scene, but that was not immediately confirmed. But as a precaution, firefighters were kept at a distance. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Department tweeted the gunman appears to be a lone male in a vehicle in the garage of the house. Once the fire was out, a man was found dead inside the home. Nobody else was inside. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
