A man in his 80's was rescued after he fell 10 to 20 feet down a ravine in Des Moines Wednesday night. The man's family noticed he was missing and notified police. Firefighters from South King Fire were called to an area near 27046 10th Ave S. just before 7:30 p.m. Crews located the man in a nearby ravine. They used a low-angle rescue tactic to reach him and brought him out safely. The man was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
