A two-alarm fire is burning at Underwood Fruit & Warehouse in Bingen, Wash., Klickitat County Dispatch says. Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. Klickitat Public Utility District says the fire is causing 600 power outages in the area. They say the flames burned a conductor line that serves many homes. There's no estimated time on when power will be restored. Underwood Fruit & Warehouse Co. was formed in 1917. They farm 90 orchard properties between Mount Adams and Mount Hood. A fire destroyed the company’s previous warehouse building in 1955. They opened a packing line at the current location three months after that fire. White Salmon School District says buses are on road restriction routes in the area.
