Six people were displaced because of a 3rd alarm fire that started in Moxee this morning. Units from all over the Yakima area responded to an adult care facility that lit up on the 11000 block of Postma Road. Lieutenant Keith Shrank with East Valley Fire Department, said firefighters were able to get the fire under control pretty quickly, but they had to call for help because of a lack of man power. “Some other neighboring districts are short on man power, so we needed to go to a third so I could get equipment here and get everything going,” he said. No one was injured and the Red Cross was also there to help the people that forced to evacuate.
