Discarded smoking materials are to blame for a house fire in North Beacon Hill Sunday night, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a single-family home in the 2300 block of 12th Ave. S. around 7:30. and got the fire out within minutes.
It was determined that discarded smoking materials caught a deck on fire, which then spread to the house.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters estimate that $75,000 in damage was caused by this fire, which has been ruled accidental.
