The Archer Mountain Fire was declared 100 percent contained this morning and all evacuation notices have been lifted. Fire crews announced the containment was declared at 7 a.m. this morning. The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office clarified that though the fire is contained, that doesn’t mean it’s completely controlled. Resources will be assigned to monitor the fire to ensure it doesn’t escape the containment lines. The fire started as a spot fire from the Eagle Creek Fire on Sept. 5 when an ember jumped the river and ignited the blaze.
