A newborn puppy is back safe with his mom after falling down a heater vent at a home in Auburn. Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) responded to a call Sunday that a 3-day-old puppy had fallen down a vent and far out of reach. The engine crew from Station 32 arrived and crawled under the home. They removed a heat duct and found the tiny pup. VRFA responds to nearly 12,000 calls every year. But this one might be the cutest. The puppy was safely returned to his mom, right after posing for a sweet photo with his rescuer.
