One person is dead after an early morning mobile home fire in Mountlake Terrace, emergency officials said.
Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, in the 5500 block of 242nd Street SW, at about 4 a.m. Monday after receiving initial reports of a fence on fire.
When they arrived on scene, however, crews discovered a mobile home was ablaze. One victim was pulled from the burning residence. Medics performed CPR but the victim died at the scene, said Leslie Hynes of the Snohomish County Fire District. No other information was immediately available about the victim.
A cat also died in the blaze.
