One person has been arrested in the investigation of two Monday morning fires in Yakima. Crews with the Yakima Fire Department (YFD) went to a burning home at the 1300 block of Cherry Avenue, around 7:40 a.m., Monday to find flames at the back side of the building spreading to the inside of the house. Firefighters said no one was in the home after they checked the inside. Crews were able to put out the flames engulfing the back side of the building. The house was burned on the outside and had some smoke and water damage on parts of the inside due to the fire. Another fire in the same area was reported only four hours after crews responded to the previous fire, according to reports. At this time, few details are known about this fire.
