A garage fire caused over $100,000 in damage early Thursday morning, according to the West Valley Fire Department.
The fire started in the 200 block of Yule Road around 4:20 a.m. A detached garage was engulfed in flames and threatening the owner’s home when firefighters arrived.
Although two windows were shattered by the heat, no further damage was done to the home.
The garage building and three vehicles were completely destroyed. A motorhome was damaged, and a live power line was downed but did not hamper firefighter’s efforts to put out the flames, the fire department said.
One firefighter was injured, transported from Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital and later released. No one else was injured.
